After a COVID ravaged 18 months the light at the end of the tunnel was to be The Stranglers European Tour, however most got cancelled, save 7 French dates and these only survived the skin of their teeth as the omicron variant took hold. These became the first shows with Toby on keyboards after Dave Greenfield sadly passed away. The shows may well have ended up being almost paid rehearsals BUT to me the Band were already on point, yes maybe a tad rusty, but we all were, having been cooped up for so long.

This is the mid point of the 7 shows, I really enjoyed all the ones I attended. Montpellier seemed a great place, and our group choose to spend an extra day here after the show and explore, well a few bars. HAHAHA.

All these shows were well attended as everyone seemed so keen to get out and the added bonus was to see The Stranglers rightfully cementing themselves as a truly great live Band.
