comments:
this was when they were playing mostly music from their 1st release,
"Parachutes", but starting to throw in a few from the second, "a rush
of blood to the head". Avalon is a disco, and this was for most, the
only chance for Bostonians to get up close and personal with Coldplay,
since after this they became America's new favorite British darlings.
Chris remarks that they are not a new band, but that this was probably
the first time Boston had seen Coldplay and they hoped they would be back.
They didn't know if they would be yet, but the answer came swiftly soon after,
since they did come back to much larger venues all over the world and
won several of music awards.
Parachutes even got a Grammy award for best alternative album,
and it's a nice one, but far too popular now to call it "alternative".
Coldplay released a DVD and CD set from Sydney, Australia's 2003 show,
which is a good one.
