This was the inaugural outdoor event at the brand new Andrew J Brady ICON
As far as how the recording went, we were crammed in tight elbow to elbow. Even
"Cloudspotter" and "Make A Fire" were on the setlist but were switched out for
Radkey opened. [not recorded]

Music Center. Construction began in 2019 and was completed earlier in 2021.
The main venue indoors boasts a capacity around 4.5k, while the outdoor lawn
can fit up to 8k. Should there have been 8k tickets sold? Well, thats another
conversation. I felt as if this show was oversold as many could not see from
the rear lawn. There were also trees blocking many views near the back, as well.
Things to watch out for if you have tickets for an outdoor event at ICON.
tho there were only 8 thousand of us, it felt like a 40k+ festival standing there.
It was also a very hot day. Temperatures were in the mid 90s at doors and low
90s/high 80s when the FF took the stage at 835. By the final 30minutes of the
show, I was exhausted from the heat and crowd. I used RX 7 Audio Editor to remove
excessive claps from the crowd but left in most in between songs. I also removed
some loud screams and whistles when I could.
"Monkey Wrench" after the band finished "Best Of You". They played right up until
11pm, which was curfew. "Aurora" was my personal highlight and the guy next to
me was tearing up when they played it. I made a gesture and you can hear him
mention it was his favorite song and he had never seen it performed live.
He seemed to really revel in the moment. Witnessing things like this is what I
missed the most when we lost live shows last year.
